OUR JOURNEY

We've come a long way from our initial stage. Ideas developed into multiple physical, functional prototypes. Now, we're trying to take it to the next level, so we can create sustainable solutions that make the world a better place.

OUR MISSION

Technology to assist the impaired

In today's world, millions of visually impaired and blind all around the world don't have access to education, and have difficulty navigating their daily lives.

However, this can be changed, with technology. Today's technology, such as AI, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision, can be used to create innovative solutions capable of solving these problems.

Our mission is to leverage these technologies to bring us, as a society, one step closer to equality.

Our Journey So Far

2020

FIRST PROTOTYPE BUILT

EyeSight was created, and our first ever prototype was built, running on a Raspberry Pi 4. It could recognise text from the camera, despite the long processing times and inaccurate results. It supported most modern languages, although error correction was only available for English

2022

WIFI STREAMING INTRODUCED

With the Wi-Fi streaming, the product became lighter, more accurate and responsive than ever, as well as allowing for object detection. This also marked the first version 2 prototype, capable of all of this, with seamless integration with a mobile app.

2024

IRIS Fair and $3000 Grant from the IBO

In recognition of the potential of this product, the company was awarded a $3000 grant from the International Baccalaureate Organization, which allowed us to fund the development of our latest prototype and help make the model more robust. Soon, we will be able to manufacture units and distribute them to our community in our pilot phase. It was also recognized as a finalist project for the IRIS National Fair.

2024

Creating a development platform

We are currently in the process of making the source code for our product accessible in the form of a public GitHub repository, along with a Python-based API allowing for more model integration and additional features to be created, allowing developers to come together to make accessibility tech development more streamlined.
